Youth and Families

Thematic Collection: Youth and Families

The Centre for Criminology Library holds various materials concerning youth and families within the criminal justice system from 1947 to the late 1990s.

This collection concerns juvenile delinquency, and the role of the police, the courts, and government and community interventions. It explores various stakeholder perspectives on risk factors; prevention measures; legislation and sentencing; and treatment within the criminal justice system.

For researchers, this collection provides insight into how the criminal justice system has attempted to address the relationship between family, risk factors, prevention, and intervention for youth offenders and vulnerable families.
