Thematic Collection: Prison Labour

The Centre for Criminology Library has an extensive collection of annual reports, surveys, and research studies concerning the topic of prison labour and its significance to the criminal justice system, and, more broadly, to the history of labour. These resources, which pertain to labour within Canada’s borders as well as internationally, dating from as early as 1867 to more recent publications in 2022. International material stems from countries including the UK, New Zealand, Australia, India, Israel, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, France, Portugal, and Japan and are often translated into English, but also include resources in French and Hebrew.
